Vincenzo Grosso graduated with a degree in law (LLM) from the University of Bologna in March 1981. At the same time, he completed the post-graduate journalism programme at the University of Urbino Carlo Bo.
In 1981, Mr Grosso enrolled in the Register of Trainee Lawyers at the Bar Association of the District Court of Treviso; in 1984, he qualified as a solicitor at the Court of Appeal of Venice and has been a member of the Bar Association of the District Court of Treviso since December 1984.
From 1986 to 1988, he taught at ISAPREL - Istituto Superiore per l'Addestramento del Personale delle Regioni e degli Enti Locali - based in Venice.
From 1988 to 1992, he worked as a researcher/visiting lecturer for the chair of Public Law Institutions at the University of Venice - School of Business and Economics - Seminar on Law.
From 1993 to 1998, he served as Honorary Magistrate at the Criminal Court of Treviso.
Vincenzo Grosso is the principal of Studio Grosso Avvocati, based in Treviso and with an office in Venice, where he currently practices law.
In his over forty years of continuous work, Mr Grosso has acquired consolidated expertise in the following fields:
- administrative law, particularly in the construction and urban planning areas, not least as a member of numerous municipal building commissions, for expropriations, public procurement, trade, environment, civil service, and health;
- civil law, especially in the areas of business law, company law, bankruptcy law (now referred to as “business crisis” law), contract law, estate law, family law, and labour law;
- criminal law, notably in the areas of environmental law, company law and the administrative liability of enterprises.
His practice includes consulting and both in and out of court assistance for many municipal governments and other public bodies.
He was awarded honorary citizenship of the municipality of Orsago for outstanding professional achievements with advising assisting the municipal government.
He advises in and out of court on bankruptcy receiverships and other insolvency proceedings.
He has served and continues to serve as president and member of arbitration tribunals and as a sole arbitrator.
He has been entrusted with the office of chairman and member of supervisory bodies under Legislative Decree No. 231/2001.
He has been a standing member of boards of statutory auditors.
He is a qualified mediator, registered with the Legal Conciliatory Body of the Treviso Bar Association.
Mr Grosso is a regular speaker at various conferences, including national ones, on administrative and civil law, notably on: construction and urban planning, expropriations, medical liability, liability of entities and organisational models, and occupational safety.
He is the author of publications on urban planning and trade issues in law journals, most notably for the Veneto Region.
